Most attacks on a small business arrive in an inbox. Veldtech secures the message, the account behind it, and the data that moves through it, starting at $14 per mailbox per month for businesses across Sacramento and Citrus Heights.
Ransomware gets the headlines. Business email compromise gets the money. It rarely involves malware at all: an attacker reads your mail quietly, learns how your business pays people, then sends a convincing message at exactly the right moment.
Four distinct problems, each needing a different control. A spam filter only addresses the first.
Messages engineered to harvest a password, often through a convincing copy of a Microsoft 365 sign-in page. Detected and removed before the click, not after.
Impersonation of an owner, a vendor, or a bookkeeper to redirect a payment. No malware involved, which is exactly why signature-based filtering misses it.
An attacker signed in as your employee, reading mail and setting forwarding rules. Two-factor authentication stops the login even when the password is already stolen.
Patient records, financials, and contracts sent as ordinary attachments. Encryption keeps regulated information readable only by the intended recipient.
Each tier builds on the one before it. Plus is where most small businesses land. Premium is the tier for anyone handling health records, financial data, or anything else with a regulator attached.

$29per mailbox per month

Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace licensing is sold separately, so you stay in control of your license mix. Email security is also included in every Total Care tier.
Microsoft 365 includes real protection, and we deploy and tune it for every client. It is a floor, not a ceiling.
Built-in filtering is very good at known-bad. A tailored message from a lookalike domain with no link and no attachment has nothing known-bad about it.
Our email security platform learns your organisation's normal communication patterns and flags the messages that break them, including sender impersonation and unusual payment requests.
When a phishing message is identified anywhere in the environment, it is pulled from every inbox it reached, including the ones already opened.
Retention is not backup. A deleted mailbox, a ransomware event, or a departing employee's cleanup is your responsibility, which is why backup is in the entry tier and not an upsell.
If you handle protected health information, client financials, or legal records, encryption is usually the specific control an auditor, an insurer, or a larger client asks about by name.
Encryption that requires the sender to remember a special step gets skipped under deadline pressure. Ours applies by policy, so the protection does not depend on anyone remembering.
The person receiving the message opens it without installing anything or signing up for a service. That is what makes encryption survive contact with real clients.
Encryption is the value-add in Email Security Premium at $29 per mailbox. It can also be bought on its own at $10 per user per month for businesses that keep their existing email security. Standalone engagements carry a small monthly minimum; ask us for the current figure.
Yes, and the reason is specific rather than general. Microsoft's filtering is strong against known threats and weak against targeted impersonation, because an impersonation email carries nothing malicious to detect. It also does not back up your mailboxes: Microsoft's own guidance places that responsibility on you. Our tiers address both of those gaps, on top of the Microsoft protection we already configure for you.
Per mailbox. Shared mailboxes such as info@ or billing@ are frequent impersonation targets, so they are protected as well. Printer and shared mailboxes are licensed at a lower rate than user mailboxes; we size that with you rather than charging a full seat for a scan-to-email address.
Premium, because it includes encryption for protected health information. Be aware that no email product makes an organisation HIPAA compliant on its own. The Security Rule also requires a documented risk analysis, a contingency plan, workforce training, and a Business Associate Agreement with vendors who handle PHI. Encryption is one required control among several, and we can walk you through the rest.
For a typical small business, filtering and backup are running within a day or two. Two-factor authentication takes a little longer because it involves enrolling every person, and we stage that so nobody is locked out mid-week. Encryption policy design takes longest, since it depends on deciding what actually needs encrypting.
Report it and we pull that message from every mailbox it reached, then check whether anyone interacted with it. If an account was accessed, we force a sign-out, reset credentials, and look for the forwarding rules attackers typically leave behind. We would rather you forward us ten harmless messages than sit on the one that matters.
