Common Questions
What counts against the 30 minutes?
Time spent helping you with the software included in the package: Microsoft 365, your email security tooling, and the security software on your computer. Routine monitoring, patching, and maintenance we perform in the background do not count against your allowance. Support for third-party applications, hardware troubleshooting, and project work fall outside the package and are billed at $150 per hour.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No. The allowance resets each month. The price is built around most solo users needing very little hands-on help in a typical month, which is what keeps the tier at $70 instead of $160.
Can I use a different Microsoft 365 license?
Yes. Business Basic is included in the price and covers email, Teams, and the web and mobile Office apps. If you need the desktop Office applications, we can move you to Business Standard or Business Premium and bill the difference. Business Basic does not include desktop Word, Excel, or Outlook, so tell us if you rely on those.
I already have Microsoft 365. Can I keep it?
In most cases we move the subscription onto our billing so the whole package sits in one place, and the license cost is then covered by the $70. If your existing subscription is on an annual commitment, we work around it and adjust the price accordingly. Tell us what you have and we will tell you honestly whether moving it saves you anything.
What happens when I hire someone?
You can add a second Solopreneur seat, but most people are better served moving to Total Care Essentials at that point, because a second person roughly doubles how often someone needs help. We will tell you which way the numbers fall for your situation rather than defaulting to the more expensive one.
