Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Veldtech collects when you visit veldtech.com or contact us through a form on the site, how we use that information, and the choices you have. Veldtech is a small cybersecurity and IT services business in Citrus Heights, California, and we handle every customer relationship directly. If you have any questions about what we do with your information, call Stephen Veldhuizen at (916) 345-3616 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm Pacific).
What we collect
We only collect information you give us. The site has no advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, and no third-party pixels.
Information you submit through a form. Our contact form and quote form both send the following to our customer-relationship system (Zoho CRM):
- Business name
- First and last name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Industry (optional)
- The message or quote details you provide
If you use the quote calculator, your selected services, employee count, and the resulting estimate are included with the message so we can prepare a response.
Information your browser automatically sends. Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include your IP address, the page you requested, the date and time, your browser's user-agent string, and any referring URL. These logs are kept for roughly two weeks and used for troubleshooting, security monitoring, and abuse prevention.
A single browser preference. If you dismiss the privacy notice bar at the bottom of the page, your browser remembers that choice using its built-in local storage (the key is veldtechPrivacyNoticeDismissed). Nothing about this leaves your device. There are no other cookies or stored values on the site.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, prepare your quote, follow up on the work you have asked us about, and serve you as a customer if you become one. We do not send marketing emails or newsletters, and we do not add submitters to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
The information you submit is stored in Zoho CRM, our customer-relationship platform. Zoho processes that data on our behalf under their standard service terms.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or referral partners. The only other people who may see your information are professionals we engage directly to help us deliver services to you (for example, an attorney or accountant), and only when the work requires it.
The site loads the Inter typeface from Google Fonts. This means your browser fetches font files from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com, and Google receives the standard request information that any web request includes (IP address, user-agent, the page you were on). We do not provide any of your personal information to Google through this request, and Google's stated terms for the Google Fonts service prohibit using it for advertising profiling.
The footer of this site contains outbound links to Veldtech's Facebook and Instagram profiles. Those links only take effect if you click them. The site does not embed Facebook or Instagram tracking pixels.
How long we keep your information
We keep inquiry and customer records in Zoho CRM indefinitely so we have an accurate history of past work and so we can serve you well across multiple engagements. You can ask us to delete your record at any time, and we will. See Your rights below.
Server access logs are retained for approximately fourteen days, after which they are automatically rotated and deleted.
Your rights, including California rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you
- Request a copy of that information
- Request that we correct inaccurate information
- Request that we delete your information
To exercise any of these rights, call (916) 345-3616. We will verify your identity using the information you previously provided to us (for example, the name, business, and phone number on your inquiry) before acting on the request. We will not retaliate against you for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information in the sense the CCPA defines, so there is nothing to opt out of in that regard.
If you are not in California, you can still call us with any of the same requests and we will honor them.
Children
The site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Veldtech is a cybersecurity company, and we apply the same defense-in-depth approach to our own systems that we recommend to clients. Multi-factor authentication is required on all administrator accounts (including Zoho CRM and our email), email is filtered through IronScales, and customer records are accessed only on managed, monitored devices. No system is perfect, but we hold our own house to the standard we sell to others.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Effective date" at the top and post the updated text here. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
